Studying Pearson’s BTEC HND Level 5 in Business at ACMET London College provides a valuable foundation for those who wish to progress in their careers or access higher education in an environment that provides personalised learning and support.

This theoretically rich subject explores a wide range of disciplines and aspects relating to the activities and management of business. You will be encouraged to develop practical, interpersonal, and thinking skills to confidently take your next steps in your career, whether that is completing a top-up degree at university, moving up the career ladder, or changing industries.
You will engage with a range of learning experiences that include group work, case studies, presentations, as well as the more traditional lecture-based approach. Applying theory to practice is a central theme of the course and you will take part in a number of experiences to enable you to develop your business skills, knowledge and understanding to achieve high performance in a business environment.
Duration
This is a two-year, full-time course.

This programme is vocational, and students will be assessed through coursework. There are no exams, rather students are expected to complete a variety of projects, presentations and reports to demonstrate their knowledge on a total of 15 different units across two years.

Entry Requirements
Acmet London College base its entry requirements on Pearson’s guidance.
You will need to be at least 18 years or over and hold at least one of the following qualifications:

A BTEC Level 3 qualification in Business

Or a GCE Advanced Level profile that demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject or adequate performance in more than one GCE subject. This profile is likely to be supported by GCSE grades at A* to C (or equivalent) and/or 9 to 4 (or equivalent) in subjects such as maths and English.

Other related Level 3 qualifications

Access to Higher Education Certificate awarded by an approved further education institution

An international equivalent of the above.

English Language Requirements
If applicants have not completed their final two years of schooling in English, they will need to provide proof of one of the following English language proficiencies or demonstrate ability at a standard equivalent:

IELTS (reading and writing must be at 5.5)
Applicants who have not carried out their final two years of schooling in English or cannot prove their English proficiency through on of the above listed exam results (or equivalent) will be required to take the Acmet London College English test. This will involve elements of reading, writing, and speaking.​

The cost per year is £6,185.00. This can be self-paid or financed through the Student Loans Company (subject to eligibility).

Awarding Body Registration Fee:
A Pearson fee for HND registration is payable by the student at the time of enrolment.
