Prof. Dr. İbrahim Benter, General Manager of Kıbrıs Vakıflar İdaresi, together with representatives from the Cyprus Foundations Administration, paid a visit to our ACMET Campus. His colloquy with the Head of School, Mr. Cemal Arifoğlu, focused on utilizing the technology available at ACMET to preserve Cypriot cultural heritage.
ACMET President/Director of Studies, Mr. ArifoÄŸlu, gave a presentation on patent rights and intellectual property to the enthusiastic students of MIDDLE EASTERN TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY (METU) Engineering Department, North Cyprus. He also spoke on the future of AI drone technology in the manufacturing of advanced fire extinguisher drones and vertical farming.
Turkey’s former Minister of Education, Prof. Dr. Ziya Selçuk, and Turkish Embassy Education Representative, Mr Ekrem Toklucu, visited our Winnow Campus in Hamitkoy to discuss on 'higher education in our region.' The Honorable former Minister will be speaking on 'YENÄ° NESÄ°L EĞİTÄ°M PARADÄ°GMALARI' at the conference organized by EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN UNIVERSITY at 10:30AM on Thursday 1st June 2023.

A visit to Middle Eastern Technical University (METU) North Cyprus by the Turkish Embassy representative, Mr. Ekrem Toklucu, and ACMET Head of School, Mr. Cemal ArifoÄŸlu, for the final presentation of the vertical farming and drone projects guided and sponsored by ACMET. The project was completed by the students of METU Electronics and Electrical Engineering Department with the coordination of Head of the department, Prof. Murat FahrioÄŸlu.
During the inaugural ceremony, the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ersin Tatar delivered a speech emphasizing the significance of education in the country.

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, ACMET donated the Phantom 4 DJI Drone to the Fire Service Department in North Cyprus.

We had a successful two day Phantom 4 Drone pilot training with the North Cyprus Service departments headed by Mr Ramadan Gürpınar, the Head of Fire Department.
On the first day we focused on theory, followed by a second day of practical training. This particularly useful against natural disasters, such as fire. The drone is used to capture the range and size of damages and report back to a base station.
